A TRIBUTE TO MOTHERS
Some say the role of mother is outmoded
And women should be liberal and free
But yet we know that there are many mothers
Who lives the way that God decrees
Today we wish to pay them this tribute
To mothers who have lived lives selflessly
"For you are beautiful
And we have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell."
The roles of mother are many and varied
Many a times she works behind the scenes
Nurturing, caring, and inspiring
And guiding young lives as they grow to teens.
Sometimes they feel so unappreciated
For all the love and labour that they gave.
"But you are beautiful
And all your children love you
More dearly than the spoken word can tell."
Mothers' hearts beat for their children
Praying that they'll grow up to be
Strong and loving, bright and beautiful
And all that God intends for them to be
"Don't give up", though the road ain't easy
Your children will grow up and they'll see
"That you are beautiful
And they will love you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell."
One day we'll stand on the brink of eternity
And we'll look back across the years of time
Will we see the satisfaction of our labours?
Will we regret, we are out of time?
May your vision stay clear and unclouded
Until the day we see the Master's face.
